Michael was an excellent resource, we managed to buy the property by outbidding the other two potential buyers by just $1000. His knowledge and contacts in the Big Bear Lake area were a tremendous help not only in closing the deal but moving forward. He was excellent at jumping on top of any issues that arose and helped guide us through all the pitfalls. The only complaint is cell phone service is spotty in the area and a fair amount of communication had to be done with text message instead of a phone call. Michael was able to give me some contacts to get started in the STR process. He was pretty responsive with emails and text even though the mountain service is sometimes not the best. Mike Hoffman is absolutely amazing. I’m a first time home buyer and I knew essentially nothing about owning a home. Mike walked me through the steps and was beyond helpful every step of the way. Mike provided the best lender group and really could not have made it a greater experience for me. If it weren’t for Mike and his confidence I probably wouldn’t be owning cabin of my own in big bear right now. Another thing I liked about Mike is that he didn’t judge me or see me differently. I have a social problem where I get treated a little differently because of my young appearance, for example in Vegas I was literally shooed away from gambling tables because the dealers thought I couldn’t have possibly been of age to even gamble. There are thousands of examples of me having received this treatment in my 25 years but the point is that Mike treated me with respect and didn’t think of me as a kid wasting his time despite my physical appearance of looking like a 15 year old and I cannot stress how much better that made me feel. Buying a home especially for the first time is a huge deal and Mike saw in me what I wish others could see in me as well.
